New leading edge system for steps
MEISER has decided to change the standard steps with the previous 45 mm leading edge to a 70 mm leading edge (analogous to the Austrian standard).
The new 70 mm leading edge offers several decisive advantages over the previous design.
On the one hand, it significantly increases the load-bearing capacity of the steps without having to change the dimensions of the bearing bars. At the same time, the larger leading edge reduces the free cross-section between the individual steps in accordance with DIN 18065, which means that in many cases there is no need for an additional welded penetration guard on the rear edge of the step.
The changeover from the previous 45 mm to the new 70 mm leading edge will take place gradually and smoothly. As soon as the existing stocks of the 45 mm leading edge are used up in production, newly manufactured standard steps will be produced exclusively with the optimized 70 mm leading edge.
When placing your orders, we naturally ensure that we always deliver the same type within a dimension.
During the current changeover phase, however, it is possible that individual items in orders with different dimensions will still be supplied with the previous 45 mm leading edge – if this is still available – while other items will already be supplied with the new 70 mm leading edge.
