Protector 90°

The Protector 90° is a protective device specially developed for confluence areas. The design is based on the honeycomb principle and covers the entire confluence area.

As the next in-house product development after the Protector, it expands the portfolio for the protection of federal and country roads. Previous restraint systems at junctions, if they existed at all, often only fulfilled an optical protective function. They were only able to absorb a small amount of impact energy and sometimes allowed the vehicle to slide over or underneath.

Protector 90° construction

With the Protector 90°, the honeycomb cage inside the structure is compressed in the event of an impact. This means that the load is not applied at one point, but is distributed across all honeycomb segments via the deformation elements. This results in an even distribution of stress, whereby impact energy is absorbed in a targeted manner. This prevents the vehicle from sliding up or underneath. The system is also stable in the event of a frontal impact. Successful collision tests confirm the functionality of the system and compliance with BASt specifications.

The Protector 90° is made of hot-dip galvanized steel and is permanently protected against corrosion. It is manufactured entirely in Germany.
