MEISER supplied around 650 m² of GRP gratings for walkways in the track area for the comprehensive renovation of the Dresden cable car system.
GRP gratings with special coloring of type 38-5/7-38 x 38-KB were used. This created functional and weatherproof walkways that blend in with the modernized facility both technically and in terms of design.
The system, which has existed since 1895, was extensively modernized for its 125th anniversary from mid-June 2020 to the end of June 2021. In addition to renewing central technical components such as the haul rope, hoist motor and control system, it was also necessary to create permanently usable walkways in the track area that meet the requirements for weather resistance and safe operation.
MEISER GRP gratings with special coloring, type 38-5/7-38 x 38-KB, were installed over an area of around 650 m². The gratings provide weatherproof walkways in the track area and offer a durable solution for walkable areas within the railroad system. With their corrosion-resistant material design and colour scheme adapted to the area of application, they combine technical function with precise integration into the modernized environment.
