For the Albertina in Vienna, MEISER supplied gratings for the accessible roof and terrace areas of the historic building.
Pressed gratings were used as powder-coated aluminum gratings with a mesh size of 33 x 33 mm and a bearing bar of 40 x 2 mm, used as flooring in the outdoor area. The result was a resilient and permanently usable surface that fits into the overall architectural solution both functionally and in terms of design.
The Albertina is housed in the Palais Erzherzog Albrecht, a historic residence of great architectural and cultural significance. In the course of the extensive extension, modernization and restoration, the roof and terrace area was also designed as an accessible outdoor area and clearly defined with a surrounding fall protection system.
