The external escape staircase is designed as a steel structure with open steps, landings and maintenance platforms and remains clearly visible as a permeable structure on the building.
Welded pressed gratings with a mesh size of 34 x 38 mm and 40 x 3 mm bearing bars were used for the flooring and walkways. Lateral elements secure the walkways, while the open design allows light and visibility through the construction. This creates non-slip surfaces for escape routes and maintenance in outdoor areas.
