At the elevated conveyor or transition structure, the walk-on areas provide safe access for inspection, maintenance and operation along the system.
Sheet metal profile gratings with a perforated surface were used as Formstep N and Passcran walkway, each element 4000 x 300 mm in 50 x 2.5 mm, with a 150 mm edged skirting board; two elements were screwed together. The open design supports the drainage of dirt and precipitation and facilitates outdoor use in dusty and dirty conditions. This creates resilient, functional walkways for ongoing system operation.
